Our first game back after the Easter break may have been part of the reason for our sluggish start. Recent matches have shown that we had started to overcome that so hopefully this was a one-off. Going 4-0 down was the price we paid for not being first to the ball and winning the 50:50's. Recovering from 4-0 is always going to be tough, but when we did start to compete and get into the game we showed we were a good match for the Pumas.

We got a goal back in the second half when Jack finished with a superb run and shot, one of his trademark finishes. That sparked us into life and for the rest of the half things were pretty even though Pumas had the better of the chances. It stayed at 4-1 for most of the game until we conceded late on. But, it showed that when we are fully focused we compete well. We just need to be at 100% from the start. We'll talk about it again on Sunday!

Star player was a close choice between Jack and Michael as the two stand out performances. Michael shaded it though with a really strong defensive display on the right, one of his best performances for the team. The boys also knew he had an excellent game as Michael was as much their nomination as mine! Well done Michael and well deserved.

Let's just say we lost the first half 4-0 and drew the second half 1-1. That sounds better.
