A match played in great spirits between two committed sides ending with a narrow loss for Forbes.
On our last outing against Warren Puma's we lost 3-1 but whilst we have improved considerably since then, so too had the Puma's.
Another good start saw us again keep a clean sheet for the early period, although again without. Dominic's efforts in goal and some poor finishing we could have been behind. They eventually scored mid way through the first half but it is a mark of our strength that we got an equaliser to go in 1-1 at half time. What an equaliser it was was though, with Henry hitting a rocket of a free kick from outside the penalty area. BOOM!
The second half started really well, with Dominic now playing outfield hitting a peach of a shot high to their keeper's left. It was another great goal. At 2-1 we thought maybe we could nick it but in truth The Puma's continued to work hard and upped their game from that point onwards. Sadly an own goal put them level and then they dominated the rest of the game. We ran out of steam a little and without some tremendous and brave goalkeeping by Luke we could have lost by a bigger margin. At the end it was 2-4 but it was a great game to watch. Their manager was very complimentary afterwards.
Some great performances again accross the team. However, Jack showed what a hard working and versatile player he is, working tirelessly in attack and defence for the team. A great midfield performance.
So onto Millwall Lionesses in the Cup next match.
